WHO WE ARE

THE STORY SO FAR

With a passion to find sustainable, affordable and practical alternatives to the challenges faced by farmers today, Joe Fleming founded Evolve Engineering in 2020.

“Managing our family’s farm opened my eyes to how input costs are not only taking the potential off our return, they are also degrading our land to the point of no return. It was when the drought broke at the end of 2019 after almost a decade that I thought now might be the best opportunity to do something about this.”

— Joe Fleming, Director

Researching various practical and sustainable farming practices and how machinery assisted in their effectiveness lead to a conversation with a grazier from near Cowra NSW who was thinking along the same lines.

“It just so happened that a mate of mine who is constantly changing the game of farming commissioned us to build him a crimper roller to knock over and crimp roll cover crops. When we decided to take this machine and apply it to a natural pasture improvement strategy, the results truly astounded us and we knew we had to develop the machine further to explore all potential applications.”

With the aim to engineer simplicity alongside practicality, Evolve Engineering strives to build equipment that lasts a lifetime, and stands up to ‘wild operators’ and the harsh Australian conditions.

Joe’s engineering trade & 15 years experience in the industry, combined with being a fifth generation farmer west of Walgett on their family’s property gave him the drive, knowledge and skill to design and manufacture the Bladerunner as we know it today.
